 Thanks-giving for Givers



"Help us," he pleads


"Givers never lack"

"We're orphans: we depend on you"

"Help us! help us!"


A woman drops a coin

And another person a note


"Thank you," he cries

"May your work prosper

and expand into an empire

and never lack," he proclaims.


One after another, they approach

the box and donate -

throwing in coins and notes


as he keeps his voice up

with thanks-giving to the givers.
